In holding the lion’s share of the world’s capital, the investment industry cannot avoid playing a significant role in addressing the challenges of climate change.
This paper explores where the investment industry is now in terms of influencing the halving emissions by 2030 and where it needs to be. It highlights that in order to move from the current, incremental, and limiting mindset to a transformational one investors must seek to bridge the gap between the left, what investors are doing now, and the right, what needs to be done. It highlights practical considerations to bridge this gap.
